Why Believe In Anything?
‘I Want To Believe’
‘Wanting’ to believe is an act altogether different than believing. Wanting to believe is the effort of the unwilling disbeliever; an article of faith; a desperate search for something to accept as true – in fact, a search or longing for the Truth. This desire speaks to an almost insurmountable goal since the discovery of Truth does not bring one closer to it’s Belief. Truth and Belief are, although not diametrically opposed, at best distant cousins. It is precisely the distance between them that propels this quest forward.
Wanting to Believe is a commitment – an unrelenting and never ending quest toward wisdom, knowledge and understanding. It is a pursuit for intrinsic realities with unequivocal, indisputable traits.
It’s what this site is about.
I Want To Believe.
